Hemet Global Medical Center is excited to provide our patients with the da Vinci surgical system which gives surgeons an advanced set of instruments to perform robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. The term “robotic” often misleads people. Robots don’t perform surgery. Your surgeon performs these procedures with da Vinci by using instruments that they guide via a console. The instrument size makes it possible for surgeons to operate through one or a few small incisions decreasing recovery time.

The da Vinci system translates your surgeon’s hand movements at the console in real-time, bending and rotating the instruments while performing the procedure. The tiny wristed instruments move like a human hand but with a greater range of motion. The da Vinci vision system also delivers highly magnified, 3D high-definition views of the surgical area.

Improved Vision: High Definition, 3D, magnified, and immersive view. The surgeon controls the camera and does not rely on an assistant or nurse.
Wristed Instruments: More precise than laparoscopic instruments, they move like your hand.
Improved Ergonomics: The surgeon is seated and comfortable, reducing fatigue, a common cause of surgical errors.
FireFly Visualization: This shows all of the active blood vessels to the tissue, which helps avoid complications like anastomotic leaks.
Vessel Sealer and Stapler: “Wristed” control of these instruments allows greater precision when dissecting tissue.
